Just figuring out how to post pics so we can get you fired up. John
Brett was a student this spring. He had never caught a fish on a spoonplug before. With a little instruction, he was able to catch this fish and more on his own. He has a great future. John

I learned a lot last week about blade baits and soft mucky bottoms. When you have a soft mucky bottom and you are using the front hole, the vibration is so tight that just a little crap on your bait will keep it from working. If you use the rear holes the vibration is much wider which allows the bait to vibrate even though there is some muck on it. It is a wider wobble but so what. It works. John

The last two days we have caught and released over 75 bass. Of the 75, two thirds of them were over 3lbs and 6 were 4+……… All on the small 3/8 balesblades and a hand full on jigs. Water temp got up to 43 today and the bite is starting about noon and lasting till mid afternoon. I would like to post a pic or two on here but not sure how just yet. Get out there fellows. You are missing a really good bite. Take Care John

The ice is about a foot thick. It would be nice to be on the water and fishing out of a boat in a month or so. My shoulders are getting tired of drilling holes. Four of us only got about 45 gills today. The bite is a little slow for everyone right now. A bunch of us are getting together wednesday and going to Tamarack Lake. Get the grease hot!!!!!!!!!! John

Here in the midwest we are still waiting for the fish to go crazy. For those of us who stay out there till the ice comes, you all know that when the weather and water conditions become stable that the fish become extremely catchable. We have had some signs of it happening but it is not full blown just yet. Hang in there guys. Make sure you dont put your boat away just yet. John
